"Via anon.penet.fi" is a small ApleScript developed under the version 1.00 for Eudora 1.5.1. It formats the content of a message of manner to be able to forward it anonymously by the anon.penet.fi mailer.
Two versions of the script are included in the archive, a text version and an application version. The application version is usable as it is, during its utilization will have only to indicate your password on the mailer. The text version allows these that want to record their password in the script to make it easily.
How it works
For a given message, the script will take the message in the form:
To: anybody@any.where
<body of the message>
will transform it into:
To: anon@anon.penet.fi
X-Anon-Password: <your password> (if you want)
X-Anon-To: anybody@any.where
<body of the message>
more, if you have left your signature to the bottom of the message, the script reminds you to remove it before to send it.
To the launching the script asks you to indicate your password. If you in have not, left the reply by default "none". In this case the line "X-Password:" will not be included in the message.
This script has been conceived to be used with "OSA Menu". In this case you can copy it in the Eudora folder. It could have also been used from the apple menu.
Recording of your password
These that would want to avoid to have to indicate their word of pass to each utilization can modify the script. In the beginning of the script will be found next lines.
-- the password can contain "ask", "none" or your real password.
-- if is is "ask" the script will prompt you to type it.
set myPassword to "ask"
Such that indicated, the variable "myPassword" can take one of three values:
"ask"in order that the script asks the word of pass to each opportunity, "none" in order that the script indicates no password, and finally your own password. In this last case, the recorded password will be used each time without intervention.
You will then have to compile the script in the form of application.

To obtain a more recent version of this script (if there is one ever) you can address a request to <file-server@RP.CAM.ORG> put the command "help" (no quotes) in the *BODY* of a message in order that the help file is forwarded you automatically. The command "index" will address you the available files list.
